Master of clay court Rafael Nadal said that he was so busy in his training that he could not watch the French Open final this year in which Stan Wawrinka was in dream form that he defeated Novak Djokovic at Roland Garros on Sunday.
Nadal told: “I didn’t watch the match, I was training.”, he is in Germany for grass court training.
“Starting on grass is always difficult. I’m going to try to play my best, to train as much as possible today (Monday), tomorrow and Wednesday for my first match.”
Nadal who won the French Open title nine times in his career, faced a defeat against Djokovic in quarter final of this year’s tournament and interest fact is this was his just second loss in 72 matches in Paris since his 2005 debut
Regarding the defeat he commented that the loss was “now part of the past”.
“I must improve any level of tennis, my intensity on the court. If I can do that I’m confident that I can return to my best level.
“I’m making my debut on grass two weeks before Wimbledon, I hope that’s going to help.”
