Megh Patel won boys’ under-16 titles in AITA National Series tennis tournament

India is probably going to get another world class tennis player in near future. Ahmedabad's young and promising tennis player Megh Patel is on the right path to become an Indian tennis star Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupati and Sania Mirza.
Megh Patel has won boys' under-16 category in AITA National Series tennis tournament which was held at Ahmedabad City Tennis Foundation courts. First in the single tournament Megh Patel thrashed 6-3, 6-1 win against Maharashtra's Siddhanth Banthia to win boy's single crown, then in doubles tournament also Megh Patel and Chandigarh's Sagar Bains pair defeated Maharashtra's Siddhanth Banthia and Karnataka's Adil Kalyampur by 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 to win the doubles title.
In other category of the tournament Delhi's Vipul Mehta won boys' under-14 singles crown by 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 against Dev Javia. While Dev Javia and Telengana's Rithvik Choudhary defeated Gujarat's Aaryan Zaveri and Mann Shah by 6-0, 4-6, 10-8 to get the doubles title.

In the girl's under-16 singles final Delhi's Sabhyata Nihlani defeated Vaidehi Chaudhary by 7-5, 6-3 to win the title. While in girl's under-16 doubles Vaidehi Chaudhary and Maharashtra's Shivani thrashed a 6-4, 6-2 win against Gujarat's Akanksha Bhan and Sabhyata to win the crown.

Promising Bengal batsman Ankit Keshri passed away after on-field injury

Promising batsman from West Bengal team Ankit Keshri passed away on Monday. Three days ago he got a several injury during a Cricket Association of Bengal's Senior one-day knockout match. Ankit was hospitallized for the last three days and was showing signs of recovery till Sunday evening.
