Tottenham beat Queens Park Rangers, Harry Kane scored twice

Tottenham's Harry Kane scored twice as Tottenham Hotspur beat Queens Park Rangers (QPR) 2-1 on Saturday which surely increased their chances of a top-four finish.

In-form Harry Kane continued his goal scoring in his last five London Premier League derbies to put Tottenham ahead.

Kane scored his second after the half-time in front of England manager Roy Hodgson before former Tottenham midfielder Sandro pulled a goal back for QPR.

Spurs resisted a late onslaught to hold on to the victory which moved them up to sixth on 50 points – they are three behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

Aston Villa reached to the FA Cup semifinals

Aston Villa became the first team to reach the FA Cup semifinals after beating West Bromwich Albion 2-0 on Saturday.

In a near repeat of Tuesday's Premier League game between the sides, which Aston Villa won 2-1, Fabian Delph and Scott Sinclair struck to take Tim Sherwood's team into the last four for the first time since 2010.

Both teams finished the game with 10 men, with Claudio Yacob sent off for West Brom and Max Grealish dismissed for Villa, while play had to be temporarily suspended late on when a number of home fans poured onto the pitch.

Indian cricket team downplays Kohli’s outburst against journalist

The Indian cricket team on Wednesday tried to play down Tuesday's incident when Vice-captain Virat Kohli hurled abuses at a Hindustan Times correspondent during the team's training session in Australia.
Kohli allegedly used abusive language against Hindustan Times writer Jasvinder Sidhu which made shocked of many journalists present at the spot.
The Indian team disputed Sidhu's point of view, saying no abusive language was used and that Kohli had apologised directly to him.
