MI advanced to the final of IPL 2015

IPL 2015 is going to get its owner in just after 3 matches and Mumbai is just 1 match away from their 2nd IPL trophy.

Yesterday in a heavy weighted first Qualifier match Mumbai Indians has defeated Chennai Super Kings by 25 runs played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Start to end MI has dominated the match and went to the final of IPL 2015.

MI won the toss and elected to bat first and their openers Lendl Simmons and Parthiv Patel gave an excellent start to their team by 90 runs stand before Parthiv got out. He made 35 runs from 25 balls. Captain Rohit Sharma also returned shortly. Bur after that another West Indian Kieron Pollard joined Simmons. Simmons made 65 runs in 51 runs. After Simmons Pollard played fast innings of 41 runs in 17 balls which took MI's score to 187 runs. CSK's Bravo took 3 wickets.

BCCI announced Indian team for Bangladesh tour

India vs Bangaldesh

As per schedule Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI) today announced Indian teams for upcoming Bangladesh tour. Test and ODI both the teams are announced.

It was heard that many senior cricketers were asking for rest in this series but after seeing Bangladesh's recent form BCCI selected their best teams in both the format.

Virat Kohli will be the captain in Test while MS Dhoni will lead the Indian team in One day series.

Most interesting news in this selection is Harbhajan Singh, who is going to do a comeback in the test squad.

BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur and selector Sandeep Patil announced the team in a press conference after their meeting in Mumbai and BCCI also made the new official announcement through its official account on Twitter.

Jonathan Trott announced his retirement from international cricket

Jonathan Trott retired

England's veteran batsman Jonathan Trott announced his retirement from all form of international cricket on Monday. He has admitted that he was not able to play up to the standard for international cricket. In last series against West Indies which was a draw 1-1, Trott struggled a lot for runs and only could make 72 runs in six innings of 3 tests, in 3 innings he could not even make any runs.

“This was a tough decision to make but I don't feel my game is at the level you need to be at to play for England,” Trott said in a statement. “I was honoured to be given the opportunity to come back and play international cricket again and I'm disappointed it didn't work out.”

Trott has been called for this series after 2013-14 Ashes series in Australia, but that return was not a success.

Blackwood gave victory to West Indies in 3rd test against England

West Indies cricket team has been successful to make test series draw against England in the 3 match series by winning the 3rd and last match by 5 wickets in just 3 days. First match was a draw and England won the 2nd match and they just have to make the 3rd match at least a draw but they failed. It was a low scoring match dominated by the bowlers.

England won the toss and elected to bat first. England captain made a ton (105 runs) but except Moeen Ali who made 58 runs, no one could stand with him and England collapsed in 257 runs. Jerome Taylor took highest 3 wickets.

West Indies' first innings also could only make 189 runs, except Jermaine Blackwood who made 85 runs, no batsman from West Indies could cross even 25 runs. James Anderson was excellent to pick up 6 wickets.

After getting lead in first inning England had a great chance to put a huge score on West Indies but surprisingly there was another collapse in English batting line up and they got all out in just 123 runs. Highest run was by Buttler with just 35 runs.

Pakistan is on the driving seat after 2nd day in the 1st test against Bangladesh. They are only 104 runs behind the Bangladesh's score at the end of day of 2nd day with 9 wickets in hand. Mohammad Hafeez and Azhar Ali are in the crease with 176 runs partnership.

Yesterday on the 1st day, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. Although they lost their inform opener Tamim Iqbal in the team's score of 52 runs, but after that Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque and Mahmudullah played some solid innings which pushed Bangladesh's score to 236 runs for 4 wickets at the day end. Promising Bengal batsman Ankit Keshri passed away after on-field injury

Promising batsman from West Bengal team Ankit Keshri passed away on Monday. Three days ago he got a several injury during a Cricket Association of Bengal's Senior one-day knockout match. Ankit was hospitallized for the last three days and was showing signs of recovery till Sunday evening.
