When people are worried about TEST cricket, an entertaining day occurred in test cricket in the first day of 1st test between England and New Zealand at Lord’s, England, where NZ strikes early but Root, Stokes fight back for England.
Joe Root and Ben Stokes made 161 runs partnership
First hour of the match was totally dominated by New Zealand bowlers where they took 4 England batsmen in just 30 runs, among 4 Debutant Matt Henry took 2 wickets of Cook and Bell. When Host were struggling to stand in front of New Zealand fast bowlers, Joe Root and Ben Stokes gave a fight back and built up a solid partnership of 161 runs. Although both of them missed their centuries by few runs, they pulled up England from danger.
