Software major Infosys has removed its formal dress code norms from June 1st, in an attempt to give better working environment to its employees. It means Infy employees can wear smart business casuals (jeans and t-shirt/shirt) all working days, instead of just Fridays. CEO has vision of decrease in attrition rate by taking this step.
Infosys notified this in an email to all employees last week. ‘From Monday, June 1, you can flaunt your smart business casuals all week long! This was a change that many of you had voiced and requested on various platforms, so we are really excited that it is official now!’ the mail said.
Company said,”it believed that each of its employees is empowered to make the right decision regarding dress code.”
Infosys competitors Cognizant have already relaxed this dress code rule a couple of years back. But companies like TCS and Wipro allow employees to wear casuals only on Fridays.
